This coming June, the annual Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit will be held here in Qingdao.

今年六月，一年一度的上合组织峰会即将在青岛举行。

Behind me is the International Sailing Center where the summit will be held this year.

在我身后的就是此次峰会的举办地——青岛国际帆船中心。

The famous May 4th Square stands proudly across the harbor from Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center, which is currently undergoing renovations as the venue for the upcoming summit.

青岛国际帆船中心目前正为迎接即将到来的峰会进行修缮，对岸则屹立着著名的五四广场。

The sailing center was originally constructed for the 2008 Olympic Games. From witnessing world-record breaking moments to hosting the 18th summit of the SCO, Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center has become the city’s landmark for important international events.

帆船中心最初是为北京2008年奥运会而修建，它见证了无数世界新纪录的诞生。如今作为第18次上合组织峰会的主会场，这里已然成为见证重大国际事件的城市地标。

The city boasts miles of beautiful coastline, sandy bays and swimming beaches. Just off the boardwalk lie the European mansions of Badaguan. The area’s villas, gardens and long avenues make it the idyllic place to catch some shade.

青岛拥有漫长绵延的海岸线、沙滩和海滨游泳场。木栈道的旁边坐落着八大关的欧式建筑群。这一带的别墅、花园和街道营造出花木繁茂、光影婆娑的田园诗般的风光。

Qingdao is not only popular with tourists, but also for trade. One of the most well known companies based in the city is Tsingtao brewery. We stopped off at the brewery museum to find out how the beer has been made for the past 100+ years, and of course have a taste!

这里不仅旅游业繁荣，商贸也很发达。青岛啤酒就是这里众多驰名中外的企业之一。我们来到青岛啤酒博物馆，准备探寻一下超过百年历史的啤酒的制作工艺，当然也少不了品尝！

After a few beers, you definitely need something to eat. We decided on some local hand-pulled noodles that my colleague has been eating since he was a child and have even featured in local rap.

小酌几杯之后，必须得吃点东西。我们决定去品尝当地的特色拉面，这是我的同事小时候尝过的味道，也曾被写进青岛话方言说唱中。
